Odell Jones
First Tenor, Second Tenor, Baritone, Bass and Lead

He was born Cecil Odell Jones on October 30, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan to Charles and Eloise Jones. His mother taught him how to sing bass and when he was seven years old, he began singing with a group called "Little Checker." At the age of ten, a move to a new neighborhood forced him to leave the group. However, it didn't end his singing career

He began to sing with kids in the new neighborhood and at the age of eleven, he and his brother, Charles Jones, Jr. formed a group that his mother named "The Steptones."
